The Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, or AFFCF, is committed to supporting youth in foster care through a variety of opportunities and supports. We offer funding for a variety of essential activities and needs, financial literacy support, and even help with funding for post-secondary education for youth in foster care. At AFFCF, our support for youth in foster care is year-round, not just seasonal. The winter holidays often bring up a wealth of donation and volunteer opportunities–and a corresponding community focus on those needs. However, we don’t just need your help during the holiday season. Instead, our youth need that support throughout the year.
Financial donations to AFFCF help provide normalcy and enrichment through extracurricular activities, summer camps, sports, arts, and educational opportunities. These programs are essential for building confidence and helping children and teens feel like they belong. Financial Donations
Financial donations are one of the most common–and often easy ways to give to youth in foster care. You can choose either a one-time donation or a recurring donation that will have an ongoing impact throughout the year. As a qualifying nonprofit for the Arizona tax credit, contributions of up to $618 for single taxpayers and up to $1,234 for married taxpayers filing jointly are eligible for a dollar-for-dollar credit on their state income taxes. A Crucial Rule Reminder
AFFCF does not accept clothing or tangible donations. Your financial support is the most effective way to help us provide exactly what each child needs. This is one of our most essential fundraising rules and a key part of ensuring that we can continue to give back to the children in our community in the way that best fits their needs.
