Meet Mariah, another youth participating in our Keys to Success program. She’s been in the program since September 2018. In her short life, Mariah has constantly been in transition, attending several different schools. She’s stared down unbelievably hard situations and changed their outcomes to benefit her.
The Picture of Confidence and Growth
Despite facing so many obstacles, Mariah has always been motivated and knew exactly what she wanted for her life. She may have been insecure and timid before entering the KTS program, but today she is the picture of confidence and growth. She attends the Adult Cosmetology program at the East Valley Institute of Technology so she can earn her cosmetology license and eventually own her own business.
Mariah recently got her first job, further increasing her self-confidence. Now that she’s turned 18, she is living in her first apartment through the Foster Arizona housing program. Connecting Mariah to opportunities and watching her seize them and grow is our greatest privilege.
