When Kaylle moved from Chandler to Phoenix, she was overwhelmed. The transition was tough. She had no job, limited support and the stress of managing school while struggling financially.
That’s when she found Keys to Success (KTS).
Finding Employment
With little confidence in navigating the job market, Kaylle leaned on her KTS Employment Development Specialist (EDS), who stepped in with resume help, job readiness training, and application support. One big hurdle? Transportation. Without a reliable way to get around, Kaylle needed a job she could reach by bus and thankfully, she found just the right opportunity.
But before she could even start her new job, another challenge hit: she didn’t have enough money for groceries. Her KTS Resource and Housing Specialist (RHS) quickly stepped in, connecting her with food box resources and an emergency grocery gift card. They also helped her renew her SNAP benefits, ensuring she wouldn’t go hungry again.
Supporting Success
From day one, Kaylle showed incredible dedication. Her Career Development Specialist (CDS) became her biggest cheerleader, encouraging her to stay on track with school. With employment secured, earning her high school diploma became her number one goal.
As they worked together, something beautiful unfolded. Kaylle discovered her passion for the beauty industry, especially nail technology. She and her CDS explored local programs, visited a community college, and even arranged for Kaylle to shadow a student and speak with an instructor. Her dream started to feel real.
Building Stability
Determined to build a stable future, Kaylle also completed the KTS financial literacy course. She learned the basics of money management and took a big step toward independence by enrolling in the car savings match program with the goal of buying a reliable car and leaving bus schedules behind.
In March 2025, Kaylle achieved a major milestone: she graduated from high school while holding down a full-time job. Now, she’s planning her next move… pursuing post-secondary education and working toward getting her own apartment.
