Eligibility: Up to $250 one time in a 12-month period.
Documentation:
Students will need to upload a screenshot of their utility bill(s) that shows their name on it and the amount due.
Payment:
Paid by check payable to the utility company or by online payment to the utility company.

- 211: You can call 211 to be connected with resources for paying a utility bill. You just dial “211” on your phone to be connected or utilize the website: https://211arizona.org/
- SRP can provide financial assistance with a utility bill, you can set up a payment plan or request a bill extension. AFFCF does not recommend M-Power boxes due to the risk of being disconnected if you are unable to add credit to the M-Power box.
- APS offers a range of assistance programs, including crisis billing support and you can also set up a payment arrangement:
- The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) provides low-income households with financial relief for utility expenses.
- Chicanos por la Causa offers SRP and APS utility assistance.
- Maricopa County offers utility assistance to those who reside in Maricopa County.
- TEP provides payment arrangements and short-term bill assistance.
- Wildfire has listings of partner organizations that you can contact to assist in paying for utility bills or for appliance repairs.
