SCHOOL SUPPLIES

Eligibility:

The maximum AFFCF can consider funding for school supplies is $50 per child one time per year. AFFCF can only process one payment, so all purchase receipts for school supplies must be provided to AFFCF at one time.

**Excludes computer equipment (computers, laptops, tablets, printers, etc.) and home office supplies (printer ink, file folders, etc.)**

Documentation:

No documentation required beforehand.

Payment:

Once a request is approved, an e-mail will be sent so then the purchase can be made and receipt(s) submitted for payment. Frequency: 1X per year

Other Resources:

  • Aviva Children’s Services – Can provide school supplies at their location in Tucson only.
  • Cochise County Council for CASA, Inc. – School supplies to youth. Funding is limited and is for youth whose case was adjudicated and has an open case in Cochise, Graham or Greenlee county only. Youth do not need to have a CASA.
  • Coconino CASA for Kids Inc. – School supplies to youth adjudicated in Coconino county
  • DCS – DCS provides an educational allowance up to $82.50/year for books, supplies, course fees, etc. Request the allowance from the youth’s DCS specialist.
  • The Foster Alliance Phoenix and Flagstaff Locations – 1x/year offers prefilled Backpacks with School Supplies as long as the family has a Notice To Provider. Also able to travel to give items. (Tucson, Kingman, Flagstaff, Prescott, Tuba City, Window Rock, Show Low, Casa Grande, Yuma, & Globe)
  • Jose’s Closet – Call the resource center to check availability.
  • More Than A Bed – Provide backpacks and school supplies at their Tucson warehouse.
  • Many schools and non-profit organizations across the state hold annual backpack and school supply drives at the beginning of the school year. Please check with your local school district for information.
