Patti is a scholar who has received the AFFCF post-secondary scholarship since her first semester at Arizona State University. She’s one of 68 students that AFFCF is funding this fall. She took a little time to reflect on her time in college and as an AFFCF Scholar.

Reflecting Back

“As I enter my final year of college, I feel both exhilarated and nervous for what is to follow graduation this spring. These past three years have passed by quickly and I expect my last year to feel the same.

I look forward to spending this year to really dive into my core courses and learn from my internship. I will be serving as a Practicum Intern this year with ASU’s Counseling Services. Though this year will look slightly different from previous years, I expect it to be the best by far.

Lasting Support

Without the support of AFFCF’s post-secondary scholarship, my college experience would not have been the same. Your support has ensured that I have always had access to the essential resources needed to be successful.

Because of you I never went without a meal, a textbook or unexpected expense. For that, I say ‘thank you.’”

Creating Long-Term Success

You can help create long-term success for AFFCF’s scholars by making a Foster Care Tax Credit Donation to AFFCF. You can get a dollar-for-dollar credit on your Arizona state taxes, up to $500 for individuals and up to $1,000 for couples.
