A SIMPLE, LIFE-CHANGING BELIEF
In 1984, Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation was founded upon a simple, but powerful belief: being a child should not have to hurt. That being in foster care doesn’t have to be the entire story of a child’s life. For 40 years, it has been AFFCF’s mission to help children and youth in foster care change their stories.

We’ve come a long way from our modest beginning back in 1984!
1984 FUNDING A MOMENT OF JOY
AFFCF paid $29.61 so a young boy in Prescott could take lessons to learn how to play the flute.
2023 IMPACT
AFFCF served approximatey 50% of the 10,000 children and youth in foster care across its three impact areas.
40 YEARS OF IMPACT
AFFCF has helped transform the lives of approximately 90,000 children and youth in Arizona’s foster care system.
