The greatest gift anyone can give is the gift of time. And for that, we are truly grateful for the volunteers who join us in our effort to promote the self-esteem and enrich the lives of Arizona’s children in foster care. Here are just a few ways you can get involved:
become a speaker’s bureau volunteer
Do you have a passion for helping children in foster care? We need volunteers statewide to be part of our Speakers Bureau and get the word out to foster caregivers that AFFCF funds FUN! Our goal is to reach every child in foster care in Arizona and with just over 13,000 children in foster care – we need help! Some engagments involve simply manning an information table at an event fair while others may be a speaking to different audiences. We’ll provide you with all the materials you need and you tell us when you’re available and can help. To learn more or to volunteer, please contact our outreach coordinator, Kim Searles, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Special Event Support
We need volunteers to help with various tasks during our Annual Slider Throwdown (typically in November), as well as during other smaller events such as the Keys to Success Showers. If you can help at any of our events, please let us know!
With limited paid staff, we could really use volunteers at our AFFCF office to help with filing, general office support and special projects as they arise. Got a few hours to spare each week? We’d love any assistance you can provide!
VNSA Book Sale Volunteer
Held the second weekend in February at the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum, the VNSA Book Sale benefits AFFCF and is our biggest fundraiser. We can use volunteers to work a 4 hour shift. More details will be available closer to the sale date.
