The McLaren Scholarship:

AFFCF serves as a selection committee for the newly developed McLaren Scholarship, administered through the Arizona Community Foundation. McLaren scholarships that are awarded annually in the amount of $10,000 per year.

Criteria for selection include those who:

1. All requirements set forth in the AFFCF Guidelines apply
2. Are former foster care youth who are just completing high school
3. Are Arizona residents
4. Have been admitted to attend one of the three public universities in Arizona (ASU, NAU, U of A)
5. Are prepared to succeed in college as reflected in high school GPA and standardized test scores
6. Have clear career goals for an occupation that requires a college education / degree.

McLaren Scholarships may be renewable for up to four years, and will be based upon demonstrable student academic progress. Accepted students will be required to submit a mid-fall “progress letter” no later than October 15 of their first fall semester, and a “progress letter,” accompanied by an unofficial transcript, at the end of their freshman year, no later than June 15.
