If 40 People Donate $10 through GROUPON'S G-TEAM, Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation Can Fund a Basketball Season for Eight Kids
Last year, AFFCF funded nearly $14,000 in awards so 107 children in foster care could participate in sports such as basketball, soccer, and Little League. More than half of children are placed in foster care because they've been neglected, and 33 percent have been abused. Playing sports allows them to make positive connections with adults, improve their self-esteem and health, and enjoy a sense of camaraderie with other children.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help children in foster care participate in sports activities. If G-Team members raise $400, then AFFCF can cover the costs for eight children in foster care to play basketball for a season. Each additional $50 raised will fund another child's basketball season.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100 percent off free, priceless karma.

A coin drive benefiting foster children.
New this year, the MidFirst Bank fundraising van will help the AFFCF raise money. Attendees at an event are encouraged to bring their loose coins or use the van’s ATM for cash to make donations to the AFFCF. The van has two coin machines and MidFirst will match the funds raised by the fundraising event up to $1,000.

Today we still serve the same mission: To promote the self-esteem and enrich the lives of Arizona's foster children by funding activities, education and other needs that provide them with quality experiences while they live through the most difficult circumstances.
